The funeral of Selina Yasmin, Vice President of Fenchuganj Upazila Parishad de Sylhet, has been completed.
His burial was completed in the family cemetery after Janaza prayers on Eidgah adjacent to the Ghilachhara Shah Syed (Rah.) Shrine on the upazila on Saturday noon.
However, husband Yasir Yamin did not go to see his wife’s body even two days after her death. There are many rumors about this. In this situation, a big fight has started over Selina’s status on Facebook before her death. Before she died, Selina blamed all three for the consequences for her and her daughter.
The deceased was identified as Selina Yasmin, daughter of the late Tahir Ahmed, a former army officer from Deili Ghilachhara village in Fenchuganj upazila and granddaughter of Arfan Ali, founding president of Fenchuganj upazila Awami League.
Meanwhile, police detectives are investigating Selina’s death with a status on Facebook.
Fenchuganj Police Station OC Safayet Hossain told Jugantar that a 24-hour investigation has been conducted since the incident.
He said three people have been blamed for the status of Facebook. He also wrote on Facebook that his daughter has all the information. The matter is being investigated. If I wanted to talk to my daughter, I was not allowed to talk to her because my mental condition was not good.
Another police source suspects Selina could be one of the three defendants, including an Awami League leader and an engineer. The matter is kept secret. When Selina Yasmin’s daughter Senjuti opens her mouth, everything will be revealed. In such a situation, Selina’s relatives are giving the utmost importance to the safety of her daughter Senjuti.
On Saturday, a senior intelligence official met with Selina’s relatives.
Selina’s cousin, Faizul Islam Muhith, told Jugantar that importance is now being placed on the overall safety of his niece. His mental state is not good. Legal action will be taken only if the situation is somewhat normal.
“We are attentive to the security and preservation of important documents held by the niece,” he said.
She said that she knew her husband’s family was not on good terms with Selina, but did not know about the divorce. He said that Selina’s mother-in-law had come to Fenchuganj even though she did not see the body after her death.
Selina died last Friday in Dhaka after suffering a stroke. Previously, on December 5, Selina wrote in her personal identification on Facebook social networks: “If my physical, mental and financial condition is damaged, only three people will be responsible for it.” My daughter has all the evidence.
