The World Food Program (WFP) warned in an online ceremony to win the Nobel Prize about the corona epidemic that it could be more dangerous than the corona epidemic.

David Basel, Executive Director of the World Food Program, said that as a result of many wars, climate change, the spread of hunger as a political and military weapon, and global epidemics, 260 million people are facing famine. He added that the lack of satisfaction of their basic needs would lead to a hunger pandemic, which would be worse than the crown.

Announcing the award on October 9, Nobel Committee Chairman Brit Reiss Anderson said that WFP had been awarded the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to “prevent the use of hunger as a weapon of war and conflict.”
