A housewife named Morzina Akhter (20) died after being slapped by her husband for obstructing their alienation. The incident took place at Sreepur in Gazipur on Sunday (December 6). The killer Sajib Mia (24) has been arrested.
Sajib Mymensingh Nandail Upazila Jahangirpur Union Batuadi village. Son of Kajal Miah. Morzina Akter is the daughter of Hatim Miah from Saudpur village at the Gobindpur junction of Hossainpur upazila from Kishoreganj.
It is known that Sajib used to torture his wife in various ways for obstructing foreigners. Morzina reported the incident at her home. But the family members did not take the matter into consideration and instructed Morzina to adjust. At one stage of the fight on Sunday afternoon, Sajib got angry and slapped Morzina on the cheek. Morzina lost consciousness and fell to the ground.
Sajib admitted him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital because he did not regain consciousness after a long time. Morzina died around 8 p.m. while receiving treatment there. At that time, the police in charge of the hospital arrested Sajib when he wanted to leave the body.
Shafiqul Islam, in charge of the police camp at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, said Sajib was sent to the Sreepur Police Station in Gazipur after his arrest.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Nandail Police Station, Mizanur Rahman Akand, said a deputy inspector was sent to the hospital after receiving the information. It was later learned that Sajib’s home was in Nandail, but the location was at the Sreepur Police Station. Then there will be a case.
