Earlier on Saturday afternoon, after a boat trip led by the Al Medina Cooperative Society comprising minibus owners and workers, the heroine Moonmoon’s dance was organized in front of the Palashtali Bazar Mosque in Kakrajan Union of the Upazila.
According to locals, the organizers brought the heroine of the movie Moonmoon to Sakhipur for a boat trip on Friday. On Saturday, after a boat trip on the Shailsindur River, which passes the village of Palashtali bordering Sakhipur and Kalihati upazilas, the organizers arrived at the Palashtali market at noon, ate and drank, played music on the sound system and they sang and danced in front of the mosque. At the end of the show, the image of this dance show went viral on Facebook. Protests and criticism began.
