The hanging body of Khadem’s daughter dressed as his wife in Pir’s bedroom

The hanging body of Khadem’s 7-year-old daughter has been recovered from the bedroom of Pir Bari Shah of Deothan in Tarail of Kishoreganj.

The incident took place at the residence of Pir Bari Shah of Deothan at the Taljanga Union of the upazila on Friday evening.

The girl is the daughter of Manik Miah from Maugaon village in Rauti junction of Khadem upazila.

Police and locals said that his disciple Lutfar Rahman has been in charge of building a dormitory for a long time in front of the Dargah of the late Pir Bari Shah of Rauti.

His bedroom is inhabited by disciples from different areas. Manik Miao, the servant of the dargah, used to stay in the dargah with his wife and their two sons and daughters.

The Dargah authorities and the boy’s parents claimed that two boys, including the girl, were playing in an empty room inside the dargah. The girl was playing like a wife in a sari. At that moment, the veil was wrapped around the window and hung around the neck.

At this point he slipped and fell off the post. The boy’s parents rescued him and took him to the Tarail Upazila Health Complex, where the emergency doctor declared him dead.

Police recovered the boy’s body and sent him to the 250-bed Kishoreganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy on Saturday.

Pir Lutfar Rahman’s statement on the matter could not be taken.

Tarail OC Police said. Mujibur Rahman said, the UD case will be shelved in this case for the time being. Further action will be taken after viewing the autopsy report.
