The Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mahajot has demanded a separate electoral system with 70 reserved seats to ensure their representation in the Jatiya Sangsad, including a separate Ministry of Minority Affairs to stop violence against the Hindu community.

These demands were made by Dhaka Reporters Unity Secretary General Govinda Chandra Pramanik at a press conference held in the Sagar-Runi auditorium on Wednesday (December 30).

In a written statement at a press conference demanding the establishment of an independent minority commission by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the secretary general said that accusations of attacks and looting had been made against the Hindu community. In addition, information on these events was also collected from the representatives of each district, upazila, and large union alliance in the country.

The leaders of the grand alliance, who were present at the time, complained to reporters that they (the government) had tried to stop the persecution of the Hindu community but could not. Lack of sincerity.

Hindu Defender President Mahajot Bidhan Bihari Goswami, Defender Executive Chairman Deenbandhu Roy, Senior Vice President Pradeep Kumar Pal and others were present at the press conference.
