Classes in the classrooms of the country’s government or private universities, which have long been closed due to the coronavirus, will begin from May 24 after Eid-ul-Fitr. A week before, the residential corridors of the universities will open on May 16. However, residential students should get vaccinated against the coronavirus before getting up. Vaccination of residential students, residential residence teachers, officers and employees will be arranged before the room opens. However, if someone has a disease that is not vaccinated for health reasons (medical reasons), they can stay.
On the other hand, there will be no exams in the universities before May 24. However, the online classes will continue. Based on this decision, the BCS application and examination date will be postponed. Steps will be taken to ensure that no candidate over the crown age is harmed in this regard.
Education Minister Dipu Moni announced these important decisions at an emergency press conference on higher education in the country on Monday. He said the decision was made in consultation with the University Scholarship Commission (UGC) and the rectors. The Education Minister also said that the government will take action against students who have been affected in terms of applying to BCS due to the closure of the university in Corona.
