Six members of the same family died on the way to see the girl. At the same time, another CNG driver also died. They were killed in a CNG bus collision at Daulatpur in Manikganj. The accident took place in the Mulkandi area of the Ghior-Daulatpur regional highway around 2.30pm on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Govinda Badyakar (32), his daughter Radhe Badyakar (4), his wife Babita Badyakar (25), his father Hare Krishna (55), his aunt Khushi Bala (50) and his cousin Ramprasad Badyakar. (32). Another is Jamal, 32, a CNG driver from Sametpur village in Daulatpur upazila.
Citing relatives of the deceased, the police said that Govinda Badyakar from Badyakarpara in Chashavadra village in Nagarpur upazila of Tangail district was taking his sick daughter Radhe Badyakar to see a doctor in Manikganj.

Dr Nafmun Rais, who is in charge of the Daulatpur Upazila Health Complex, said they all died before being taken to hospital.
Daulatpur OC Rezaul Karim Police Station said the Village Line bus driver was detained, but the fugitive was still at large.
