Khalu has been accused of raping a teenage girl in Faridganj, Chandpur. According to the police, Khalu Kamrul Islam (40) raped the girl after holding her for 13 days. He even recorded a video of the rape. The incident took place in the village of Rastumpur in Rupsha North Union of Faridganj upazila.
Defendant Kamrul is a resident of the Raipur upazila municipality in the contiguous district of Laxmipur.
According to the police, Kamrul intimidated and pressured the tenth-class girl in various ways to keep the rape incident a secret. After filing a case at the Faridganj Police Station, the police arrested him at Gridkalindia Bazar in Faridganj on the night of 8 October.
According to the details of the case, Kamrul Hossain had been raping her for two years. He saved the video of the rape on his mobile phone. On September 25, the girl was kidnapped on a motorcycle while she was going to study in private. After much searching, family members rescued the girl from Khajurtala Selim Manzil in the neighboring Raipur municipality on October 8. After the rescue, the girl reported the entire incident to her family members. Later, the girl’s mother filed a case against Kamrul at the Faridganj Police Station.
Investigating the case, police officer SI Nurul Islam said that a case was filed against Kamrul Hossain on October 8 under the Abuse of Women and Children Act. The arrested Kamrul was sent to jail through a court on 8 October. The victim has had a medical examination. He testified in the court of Chandpur.
The officer in charge of the Faridganj Police Station, Mohammad Shahid Hossain, said that Kamrul detained the girl for 13 days. A case has been registered against Kamrul after the girl was rescued. The defendant has been arrested and sent to jail through the court. There are videos and images of the rape. They were captured by the investigating officer. It will send them to the CID.
