Mohan, who was arrested on the charge of suffocating a domestic worker named Tamanna Maina (13) from the Dakshinkhan area of the capital, pleaded guilty in court. Today Monday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate. The Sarafuzzaman Ansari court recorded his statement.

Shamim Sikder, Police Officer in Charge of Dakshin Khan, said: “The body of a domestic worker was dumped in a seven-story building at Rupali Garden in Taltola Nardapara in the Uttara Dakshin Khan area on Sunday morning. Police recovered Doba’s body around 8 a.m. and sent him to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College morgue. So the police started the investigation.
Describing the investigation, he said: “We first collected CCTV camera footage from the roof of the house next door. It shows a man lifting something from the roof of a seven-story building and throwing it to the ground. Later, the police began questioning several people in the house. All but one of those present on the ground floor of the house were without masks. Only one man named Mohan had a mask on his face. The police suspect him. At one point during the interrogation, he opened the mask. Seeing three nail scratches on his face, the police were convinced that Mohan was the killer. There was still a blood clot at the place of the nail scratch. At one stage of the interrogation, Mohan confessed to killing Moyna. His home is in Gaibandha.
The late Tamanna Moyna worked as a maid in the home of Rubina Yasmin, a third-floor resident of a seven-story building in Rupali Garden.
According to the police, Mohan, the house keeper, is in charge of checking for water in the tank on the roof of the house every morning. On Sunday morning around 8:15 am, the girl goes to the roof to water the trees and Mohan goes to see the water in the tank. Mohan found the autopsy alone on the ceiling and tried to insult her. At this time there was a fight between the two. At one point, he killed Moyna by suffocating her by wrapping a scarf around her neck on the ceiling. Then he took the body with both hands and threw it into the side pond. Mohan came down from the roof and told the other doorman that his body was not feeling well. Later he went home. After a while he came back with a mask.
