The emperor is alleged to have been hacked to death in Bogra under the leadership of the Juba Dal leader.

Subrata alias Samrat Ghosh, 26, was hacked to death by malefactors led by Atul Chandra Das, secretary general of the Sri Sri Durga Mandir Central Committee and convener of Sadar Upazila Juba Dal in Bogra. Atul’s name has been confirmed in the initial investigation, Sadar OC Humayun Kabir Police Station. He said that the emperor had been assassinated in a dispute a year ago.
The locals, who did not want to be named, said that the emperor and Atul were friends a few years ago. Until 2011, the emperor was involved in the politics of the Subgram Union Volunteer Party. Emperor Jewel’s brother, alias Hari Jewel, is also a terrorist listed by the police.

Due to various reasons, including domination of the area, an incomparable conflict arose between the emperor and his brother Hari Jewel. A few days ago, the people of the Sabgram area under the leadership of Atul carried out a human chain program against the emperor. The emperor left the area and lived in the city due to a dispute with Atul. On Sunday night (October 25), the emperor came to visit idol Durga at the local temple and met his parents at Subgram Malipara. The emperor was returning home by motorcycle after visiting the idol around 1 am. At that time, a group of terrorists blocked and attacked the temple premises. Although his companions managed to escape, the emperor got off his motorcycle and took refuge in a tinned house. The terrorists kicked him out of the house. They left the area after death was confirmed. At that time, the visitors arriving at the temple kept running in fear.

Sadar OC Humayun Kabir Police Station said that terrorists led by Sadar Upazila Juba Dal’s convener, Atul Chandra Das, had assassinated the emperor a year ago. Even then, they won’t comment until the case is resolved. Two motorcycles belonging to the murdered emperor and his men were found at the site.

The CO further said that there are four cases against the emperor in the Sadar police station for murder of the transport leader Moniruzzaman Manik, act of arms and robbery. The case was being prepared when the news was sent Monday night. Police are carrying out operations to arrest those involved in the killings.
