Police rescued missing florist Shishu Zinnia from the TSC area of Dhaka University, but a student helped find the source. Many may not know the person’s name based on information provided by the police.
On the morning of the 1st of this month, the girl Zinnia disappeared from the TSC area. Like many others, the matter came to the attention of Arafat Chowdhury, a law student at the University of Dhaka. Four days after the incident, on September 5, Arafat Chowdhury visited the TSC area and spoke with several people.
Arafat Chowdhury tried to find out if any of them had seen the baby Zinnia.
Arafat Chowdhury also identified the number of CCTV cameras in the TSC area and surrounding roads.
He said: “I arrived at the TSC on the 5th and gathered all the witnesses from morning to afternoon. I took details from everyone: when and where Xenia sat, where did she eat the stew, what she looked like, what she wore, and so on. . “
After gathering this information, Arafat Chowdhury took the initiative and went to the Shahbagh police station and informed the police about the information he had.
Based on the information provided by Arafat Chowdhury, the police also conducted further investigations. Four days later, the police intelligence department rescued Zinnia from Narayanganj.
The Ramna Area Police Deputy Commissioner (AC) of Dhaka, SM Shamim, said that university student Arafat Chowdhury was able to rescue the girl Zinnia quickly with the help of information.
Sir. Shamim said: “The boy was, always has been. He has been present from the beginning. He has helped with information.”
“We were able to rescue because people helped. We could have done that. But it could have taken longer.”
Officials say that police work is much easier if the general public helps with information.
He said there was a kind of “innate fear” among people to help the police with information. He mentioned that the police have a good relationship with the informant if he helps the police with the correct information.
Police describe the incident as a kidnapping.
“The girl was taken without notifying the legal guardian. It was a kidnapping. The girl was taken to work. We could find out in a while if she had any other motive. Zinnia was rescued earlier,” said a police officer. Shamim.
