In Narail Sadar Upazila, a truck driver named Jamir Sheikh (38) was strangled and his truck was seized by a criminal. He was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. The incident took place in the Hijaldanga area of the Mulia union of Sadar upazila around 10 pm on Sunday. Jamir is the son of Abdul Jalil Sheikh from the Durgapur area of Narail city.
According to relatives of Jamir Sheikh, Jamir has been able to speak since Monday morning. Jamir informed them that a man from the Rupganj area of the city got into his van as a passenger. Take it to the Hijaldanga area. The malefactor stabbed him in the neck from behind in a moving van. Then there was a fight when the truck was taken away. After snatching the truck from him, the locals and the police rescued him and took him to Narail Sadar Hospital around 10:30 pm. The doctor from the hospital’s emergency department, Subrata Kumar Nag, asked him to take him to another place for better treatment. He was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital at night. He’s been bleeding a lot. However, doctors said the windpipe was not cut.
Narail (Sadar Circle) Additional Police Superintendent Sheikh Imran said police rushed to the scene after receiving the news. The police are conducting operations to catch the criminals and rescue the truck.
