The two of them were riding a scooter from Salt Lake to China Park. At that time an accident took place under the Bishwabangla gate. Doctors pronounced them dead when they were rushed to Bidhannagar Hospital in critical condition.

Police say the accident occurred near Biswabangla Gate while heading towards China Park from Salt Lake. Upon receiving the news, the police took the two in an ambulance to Bidhannagar Subdivisional Hospital. But nobody was saved.
Police further said that a truck was following the scooter. That truck pushed from behind and fled. The two fell on the road. Newtown police are looking for the truck.
The families of the victims say the couple was due to marry next year. Every Saturday the two of them went for a walk. They used to go out to eat together. According to him, the two went out yesterday. The two were involved in an accident while returning home after eating and drinking.
