The Department of Health has announced that the entire country is at risk for coronavirus infection. This was reported in a circular signed by department director general Abul Kalam Azad on Thursday.
The notification asked people to strictly abide by some restrictions as the entire country was declared at risk. The rules are that no one can leave the house unless absolutely necessary. No one can leave the house from six in the afternoon until six in the morning. The movement of people from one area to another will be strictly controlled.
The notice stated that action will be taken against violators of these restrictions in accordance with applicable law. In this case, the local health authority can enforce these laws with the help of concerned administration and government authorities.
The Department of Health has declared the entire country at risk under Section 11 (1) of the Infectious Diseases (Prevention, Control and Eradication) Act, 2017. Violators of the ban will be brought to justice under the Act. , according to the notice.
The reason for declaring the entire country a risk is said to be that the spread of this global epidemic virus has also occurred in Bangladesh. The disease is transmitted due to sneezing, coughing, and sexual intercourse. So far, no cure for this disease has been discovered in the world. According to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, the only cure for this disease is to keep a certain distance, which confirms the Bangladesh Department of Health has issued this notification.
