The defendant in the murder case disappeared from jail

A detainee is not being sought at Chittagong Central Jail. During the regular count on Saturday morning (March 7), the prison authorities learned of the detainee’s absence. Subsequently, the prison authorities filed a general diary at the Kotwali Police Station in Chittagong.

The name of the missing prisoner. Farhad Hossain Rubel. He is the son of Shukkar Ali Bhandari from Mirerkandi village in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi district.

OC Nezam Uddin told the Bengali Tribune: “Sadarghat police arrested the missing prisoner Rubel in a murder case. Rubel was absent during the morning’s regular prison count. Later in the afternoon, the prison’s chief superintendent said. Shafiqul Islam Khan filed a GD at the police station. We are investigating the matter.

Sadarghat police said a murder occurred in the Madarbari Railbit area last February. There was a pharmacy next to the railroad beet. At one stage of drug use, one lights up the other’s eyes. Farhad Hossain Rubel stabbed one of them due to an argument. The man later died after being taken to hospital. After his arrest in the incident, the Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrates Court sent Rubel to jail on February 9 on the basis of a provisional arrest warrant.
