Bogra: The death toll in Bogra has risen to 16. They died between last Sunday (January 31) and Tuesday (February 2) night.
The deceased have been identified as Ramzan Ali (40), Sumon Rabidas (30), his father Premnath (60) and his uncle Ramnath, Palash Mia (35), Saju (55), Mozahar Ali (65), Abdul Jalil (65). ) and Zulfiqar Rahman. (55), Abul Kalam (50), Abdur Rahim (42), Alamgir (40), Abdur Razzak (42), Mehedi Hasan (25), Abdul Ahad (38) and Laju Mia (32).
The deceased were identified as Tinmatha, Kalitala, Fulbari and Katnarpara areas of Bogra Sadar upazila and residents of Kahalu, Shajahanpur and Sariakandi upazilas.
Shahjahanpur Police Officer in Charge (CO) Abdullah Al Mamun said the bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Meanwhile, sick people said they became ill after buying alcohol from various stores, including Parul Homoeo Hall, Khan Homoeo Hall, Poonam Homoeo Hall, a local liquor store in Satmatha.
Bogra Sadar Circle Additional Police Superintendent Faisal Mahmud said the operation would be carried out to find out about the three homeopathic rooms.
On Monday night a case was registered at the Bogra Sadar police station related to the sale of liquor. In the case, the names of three people have been mentioned. The defendants are Shahinur Rahman Shahin, owner of Khan Homoeo Hall, Nur Alam and Nur Nabi, owner of Parul and Poonam Homoeo Hall.
