A young man named Sujan Mahmud (38) came to vote in the municipal elections in Chatmohar de Pabna.
He suffered a heart attack near the Enayetullah Islamia Fazil (Degree) Madrasa Center in the municipal city around 11am on Monday (December 26). He was later transferred to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

Witnesses said Sujan came to the Enayetullah Islamia Fazil (Grado) Madrasa Center in the morning to cast his vote. Suddenly, he fell to the ground while standing with party leaders and workers outside the center. He was rushed to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Sujan had a ship marker plate on his chest. Upon receiving the news, the police officers went to see him at the hospital.
Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex doctor Mahmudul Hasan Khan said the young man named Sujan Mahmud died of a heart attack before being taken to hospital.
Confirming the identity of the ship’s supporter, Saidul Islam, Secretary General of the Chatmohar Upazila Juba League, said: ‘That young man named Sujan was with us. He came to vote. He fell to the ground and was taken to hospital. The doctor on duty declared him dead.
Chatmohar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (CO) Aminul Islam said the body was released to relatives after the investigation report, as there were no complaints from the family.
