Everyone has to accept a difficult subject. For now, there is no alternative. Do you want to stop the black market for train tickets? Again, there is no alternative. It may be a little late to get the benefits on all trains, but it will be effective on non-stop and intercity trains. Although it depends on the strict application of the law.
Nowhere in the world can you travel with someone else’s ticket. Whoever has the ticket in their name has to travel and on board means that they have to show their identity on the train. I asked one of our railroad fanatic grandparents in India, is the ticket transferable in Dada India? Does that mean that one person can travel with another?
He replied kindly. He said that if the passenger on the train was unable to show their ‘Aadhaar card’ (Indian ID card) and the name written on the ticket did not match the name on the Aadhaar card, then at midnight, at a station in the middle They will leave him with his family. This is Indian history. Strict application of its laws. There are Aadhaar picture cards for all ages. Now you must understand what we have to do! Do you want the black market to stop? At least start?
If so, then we need to connect to Rail’s NID server, Election Commission. I spoke to them without complications, little process. Now only 20% of the total capacity of your server is being used. 80% unused. So even if millions of visits are together, the server will not crash. For this, you must pay an initial registration fee. Then 1 taka per act or hit. That will give you the train. The government did not, or did not say, the budget will not be given.
Everyone must re-register online with the NID number. If you check the NID server and click OK, you will get a (identical) PIN number. You have to make a ticket with it. Your identification will be verified shortly. Minors from 12 to 18 years old who do not have an NID will be registered with a birth certificate. If you obtain a PIN number, it will be your identification number in case of ticket purchase.
Then there are the difficult options. You must show the original copy of the NID or birth certificate on the train. If not, you will have to pay a fine. Anyone on a family trip will have a ticket in their name and must keep it with the NID. If you can’t show it, everyone whose names are on the ticket will have to pay the fine. Tickets called ‘Xxxxxxx’ or ‘mmmmmmm’ cannot be issued.
Section 114 of the Railways Act of 1890 mentions the transfer of tickets as a punishable offense. We will only apply this section. If we can do this, the black market will stop. What ticket will they buy, on whose behalf will they buy it? If every country in the world can, why can’t we stop handing out tickets? And if you can confirm the identity of the passenger on the train, the fee can be increased online. This will reduce the pressure on the counter.
If you really want to stop the black market for tickets, get into the habit of keeping NID cards in your pocket. And we will see how that can be implemented. One thing to note is that if you cannot verify your identity while traveling on the train, no matter what other steps are taken, it is not possible to stop the ticket black market at this time.
