In the coastal district of Barguna, the country’s first ship museum has been inaugurated. Built on the occasion of Mujibvarsha, the museum has been named ‘Bangabandhu Ship Museum’. The journey of this museum began with the imitation of one hundred domestic and foreign Bahari designer ships.

The Bangabandhu Ship Museum was installed on 6 percent of the land adjacent to the Barguna Deputy Commissioner’s Office in the heart of the city. Built in the shape of a huge ship, the museum is 175 feet long and 30 feet wide. The museum will have a boat research center, modern library, Bangabandhu and Liberation War Corner, a children’s entertainment center, and various events, including stand-up coats.

Barguna Deputy Commissioner Mostain Billah opened the museum Thursday afternoon.

He said that river boats were once the main means of transportation in Bangladesh. Which was built first in the country.

According to district administration sources, the ship museum was planned with 100 different types of domestic and foreign ship models, but at the moment, the ship museum started in Barguna on December 31 with 75 ships. You can see a large ship from a distance. The main building measures 65 feet, the gului and the butt 25 feet. In the belly of the ship there are a hundred different types of ship models.
