Antigen testing begins today in 10 districts of the country to detect new corona virus infection in a short time. This method will detect the corona infection in just 20 minutes. On Saturday, Health Minister Zahid Malek launched the antigen testing program in 10 districts. At this time, the Minister of Health asked everyone to follow the hygiene and mask rules to deal with the second wave of the corona virus.
This test facility will be available at Sadar Hospital in 10 districts of the country starting Saturday. The districts are Jessore, Sylhet, Brahmanbaria, Gaibandha, Panchagarh, Joypurhat, Meherpur, Patuakhali, Munshiganj, and Madaripur.
Meanwhile, health workers in these 10 districts have received the necessary training for antigen testing, said the director of the government’s Center for Pathology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR). Tahmina Shirin.
“Our job was just to train,” he said. We gave that. We have trained 10 physicians, 10 medical technologists, and 10 statisticians in each district.
In this context, the Additional Director General of the Department of Health, Prof. Mirzadi Sebrina Flora said that it was too late to start the antigen test because she was not sure which kit was better or more effective for the antigen test. The test will begin in 10 districts starting Saturday.
