The Health Department has almost determined which classes of people will receive the corona vaccine as a priority. However, the list of vaccinators has not yet been finalized. The Department of Health is working with the government’s Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the process of adding names to the list.
The use of the corona vaccine has been approved in several countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom. The Corona vaccine will be introduced in Bangladesh in late January or early February, Health Minister Zahid Malek said. Bangladesh has officially taken the initiative to bring the vaccine invented by Oxford-AstraZeneca from the Seram Institute of India. Public health experts say qualified people should get vaccinated. For this, it is necessary to make a list in any upazila in the country through the Dishari project and quickly identify the errors.
The Department of Health has finalized plans to distribute and use the Covid-19 vaccine. The plan calls for vaccinating health workers, heroic freedom fighters, law enforcement officials, journalists and media personnel, public representatives, religious professionals, gas, water and electricity, dockworkers, the elderly and the chronically ill, including doctors from all governmental and non-governmental organizations. National Identity Card, Birth Registration Certificate or Passport will be used to compile the list of people from these classes and professions.
