Police arrested rapist Ali Hossain, 55, for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl at Santarpur Union of Karimganj Upazila in Kishoreganj.
He was arrested in Gachabazar in the Sholakia area of Kishoreganj Sadar on Thursday afternoon. He is the son of Abbas Ali from the Santarpur union of Karimganj upazila.
According to the police, the accused rapist Ali Hossain broke into the house last Sunday (September 6) and raped the sleeping girl.
The officer in charge of the Karimganj police station, Nahid Hasan Sumon, said that Ali Hossain had fled since the incident. He fled to Dhaka. The police resorted to tactics and asked him to come to the Gachbazar area from there. Ali Hesen was arrested with the help of the Kishoreganj Sadar model police station when he arrived in Gachbazar on Thursday afternoon. The accused has been transferred to the office of the Police Superintendent.
Karimganj OC Md Mominul Islam Police Station said he had been questioned. However, he will continue to be questioned in police custody. The preventive detention process is ongoing in court.
He added that the arrested Ali Hossain was a man of perverted taste. There are more charges of this type against him.
According to police sources, the boy was sleeping with his parents at home after lunch last Sunday. At midnight, the rapist Ali broke into his house and took the sleeping boy to the farm field next to the house. Leave the child there after the rape. After hearing the boy’s screams, a village woman went to the scene and rescued the injured boy and took him home.
The next morning, the boy was admitted to the Kishoreganj General Hospital. Currently, the child’s condition has improved somewhat. The boy’s father filed a kidnapping and rape case against Ali Hossain at Karimganj Police Station on Monday (September 6). Since then, the police have raided several places to catch him. Eventually, they were able to arrest the rapist by catching him, police said.
