The chancellor demanded the return of Bangabandhu’s killer, Nur Chowdhury

Foreign Minister. A. K. Abdul Momen has called on the Government of Canada to take the necessary steps to repatriate Nur Chowdhury, the killer of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The request was made by the Bangladesh Foreign Minister during a telephone conversation with Canada’s Foreign Minister Francis Philippe Champaign on Wednesday night.

Dr. Momen said it would be a great achievement for the people of this country to bring the murderer Nur Chowdhury back to the country on the centenary of Bangabandhu’s birth.

At that time, Canadian Chancellor Corona proposed forming an alliance to tackle the next challenge. The Canadian chancellor noted that the alliance would help address Corona’s global challenge. Francis Philip also promised that Canada would back Bangladesh in any crisis.

Referring to the repatriation of the Rohingyas from Myanmar from Bangladesh as “everyone’s responsibility”, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Canada reiterated his country’s commitment to continue cooperating in this regard.

He also said that he has continued discussions with several countries in the region in this regard. Francis Philip praised the generosity and humanity shown by Bangladesh in protecting the Rohingyas.

Dr. Momen applied for all kinds of assistance, including tuition waiver for Bangladeshi students in Canada in the current situation. He also requested Canada’s help to rehabilitate Bangladeshi workers returning from abroad after losing their jobs due to Corona’s situation.
