Kausar Hossain, Awami League Candidate and Charbhadrasan Upazila Awami League Secretary General, has joined Mojibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury, an independent candidate from Faridpur-4 constituency in the upcoming Charbhadrasan Upazila Parishad elections.
The opening ceremony was held at the premises of Nixon Chowdhury’s residence in Char Brahmanpara village in Bhanga upazila on Friday afternoon.
At the beginning of the ceremony, a boat made of two gold heavyweights was handed over to MP Mojibur Rahman Chowdhury Nixon and Kausar Hossain joined him. Subsequently, Nixon Chowdhury was joined by Charbhadrasan Union Awami League President Rubel Hossain Mollah, Secretary General Babul Mandal and Deputy Secretary General Abul Kalam Mridha.
Speaking on the occasion, Mojibur Rahman Chowdhury Nixon said: ‘If you are lucky, you will automatically come. Twice I have been elected deputy. Blood from the Awami League in the pores of my body. Today, many BNP leaders also chanted the Joybangla slogan with me. I think this is my achievement. ‘
He said: ‘Kazi Zafarullah has not come to the area in the last 6 months. I don’t buy boats like Kazi Zafarullah. I am Bangabandhu’s ship. I am working for the locals overcoming various adversities. ‘
He expressed his condolences to his endorsed candidate, Anwar Ali Mollah, for backing Kausar in the elections.
Nixon Chowdhury said: ‘I told the prime minister that I do not do politics against the ship. I do politics against one to free people from three police stations. I’ll tell BNP candidates and supporters, this time I’m going down with ship’s candidate Nixon Chowdhury. InshaAllah, I will give Sheikh Hasina a gift by winning the pot candidate. ‘
He further said, Bangabandhu’s blood is on my body. But he has not yet joined the Awami League. Few days left. And it will probably be completed in just 20 days. But it is an embarrassment to Kazi Zafarullah.
Asking the BNP candidate to stay put, he said that his people (Qazi Zafarullah) will win the BNP candidate by voting.
Speaking on the occasion, Upazila’s presidential candidate Kausar said: “I have already worked as a reliable tool for Kazi Zafarullah, member of the Awami League presidium. But he (Qazi Zafarullah) doesn’t know how to respect people. Previously, I elected the president of Upazila Parishad three times at his request. But just because of him (Qazi Zafarullah) I was defeated three times. ‘
He said: ‘People in the Prime Minister’s Office have secretly taken the news that if the elections are fair, the Awami League candidate will not win without the support of an independent deputy. After much deliberation, I decided to meet with the deputy and join him.
Kausar said: ‘The prime minister’s face was disgusted when he lost the ship. So I joined Nixon Chowdhury in lighting up the Prime Minister’s face. I am failing three times. Vote in this election and prove that Nixon Chowdhury is the mastermind behind the victory.
‘I will not stay with Kazi Zafarullah for the rest of my life. I will say that I will stay with Nixon Chowdhury for the rest of my life.
The election of Charbhadrasan Upazila Parishad will be held on October 10. Anwar Ali Mollah was the candidate supported by Mojibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury in this election. However, at the meeting, he withdrew from the election and accepted the decision of Nixon Chowdhury and expressed his support for Mr. Kausar.
Former Upazila President of the Bhanga Upazila Awami League, Shahadat Hossain, chaired the meeting, while Sadarpur Upazila President Kazi Shafiqur Rahman, Sadarpur League President Upazila Juba Babul Hossain and Charbhadrasan League President Upazila Juba Mahfuzur Rahman Murad also spoke.
