Cox’s Bazar: The police recovered the body of a housewife named Afroza Begum (24) six days after her disappearance.
The body was found buried underground in the courtyard of her husband’s North Nalbila home of the Kalarmarchhara union in Maheshkhali upazila of Cox’s Bazar at 11 pm on Saturday (October 18).

Afroza’s relatives claim that all of her in-laws were involved in Afroza’s murder. They demanded justice for those involved.
Afroza is known to have married Rakib Hasan Bappi, a part-time professor at Badarkhali College, the son of Awami League leader Hasan Bashir from Uttar Nalbila village a year ago. This is your third marriage. Family disturbances had been going on between them since the marriage. A case was filed in the Court for the Suppression of the Abuse of Women and Children. Professor Rakib Hasan Bappi took Afroza home after the case was resolved a few days ago.
Then, on October 12, mother-in-law Rokeya Hasan reported that Afroza had disappeared at her father’s home. Afroza has been missing since then. From then on, Rakib Hasan Bappi also escaped.
Maheshkhali Police Officer in Charge (OC) said. Abdul Hai said Afroza’s body was found buried underground in the courtyard of Rakib Hasan Bappi’s home. All the in-laws of the deceased have been at large since the body was recovered.
