The largest idol dive in the country has been completed at Cox’s Bazar Beach. However, this time the largest religious festival of the followers of traditional religions was completed without a procession due to the Crown epidemic. This time there was no game of spreading colors and lighting fireworks. Also, there was no formality.
Millions of people flock to Cox’s Bazar Beach each year for the dive. But this time, the decision to surrender by observing hygiene has been made through many exceptional ceremonies. Even then, there were many people besides Hindus on the beach on the occasion of the abandonment.
This year, idols from the surrounding areas, including Sadar, Ramu and Ukhia upazilas from the Cox’s Bazar district, were thrown onto the beach. The idols were brought from their respective mandapas and thrown at Labani Point on the beach.
