The Chief of Staff of the Army, General Aziz Ahmed, has instructed the higher command to develop as disciplined, efficient and competent members of the army through training, maintaining mutual trust, sympathy and brotherhood.
He gave this instruction to army personnel while distributing the regiment’s colors as the main guest at the regiment’s color distribution ceremony at the 24th Infantry Division, Chittagong, on Wednesday.
Rezaul Alam Khan, deputy director of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed the matter to the media.
Speaking on the occasion, the Army Chief of Staff said that it was a source of great pride for any unit to receive the regimental color according to the Army’s military tradition.
He instructed everyone to become disciplined, efficient, and competent military personnel through training, maintaining trust, mutual trust, sympathy, and brotherhood in superior leaders.
At the same time, he instructed everyone to always be ready to face any internal or external threat, achieving the expected standard of professionalism.
At the beginning of his address to all present, the Chief of the Army General Staff paid tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the best Bengali nation for thousands of years.
Earlier, the Chief of the Army arrived at the MR Chowdhury parade ground of the East Bengal Regiment Center in the Chittagong Cantonment.
After the parade Commander Lieutenant Colonel. An army contingent led by Rafiqul Islam marched and greeted the army chief.
Units bearing the glorious heritage received regimental colors for their special contribution to the service of the army and the homeland.
Following this, 8 Signal Battalion, 16 Veer, 20 Veer, 21 Veer, 22 Veer and 23 Veer from the Bangladesh Army participated in today’s color parade and officially received the regiment flag from the main guest.
Senior Army officials and members of various ranks were present on the occasion.
