Minister of State for Religion. Faridul Haque Khan said that children of traditional religions are developing as worthy citizens of the country through religious and moral education at the preschool level through the temple-based children and mass education activities project. This activity is playing an important role in creating morally worthy citizens of the developed Bangladesh of 2041 announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He spoke as a keynote guest at the inaugural function of the book distribution program for the academic year 2021 of the project entitled ‘Mass Education Program and Children Based in Temples-Phase-5’ online on Friday (January 1) by the tomorrow.
The state minister said that Sheikh Hasina’s government has revolutionized the field of education. Books are distributed to billions of students each year on the first day of the year. The Ministry of Primary Education, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Madrasa Board of Education are playing an important role in preschool education activities.
He said mosque-based children and mass education projects, temple-based children and mass education projects, pagoda-based children and mass education projects are providing religious and moral education to millions of children using the infrastructure of religious institutions in the country and contributing to inclusive education.
Faridul Haque said that the book distribution program was launched on the first day of the year by distributing books and educational materials to students from 64 centers in 64 districts of the country within the framework of the temple-based mass and early childhood education program. Within the framework of this project, the books will be distributed to 1 lakh 92,250 students from 4,850 centers throughout the country.
Subrata Pal, Vice President of the Hindu Welfare Trust, also spoke at the virtual meeting, which was chaired by Ranjit Kumar Das, Project Director, Temple-Based Children and Mass Education Program.
