When asked about cooperation in the fight against coronavirus, the Indian High Commissioner said: “Although we have not made an announcement, we have been quietly discussing our best practices with Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Mauricio for months. ” There is no reason to think about it, we know the answers to all the questions. The disease is new. Therefore, we are working with Bangladesh on how to get the most out of the vaccine, what are the ways to preserve it, trainings, etc. We have had strategic discussions on this for the past few months. We are ready to reach out if Bangladesh wants help in this regard. Not only to improve the quality of vaccine production here, but also if Bangladeshi companies are interested in co-production with Indian companies, we are willing to cooperate in this regard.

When asked about India’s role in the repatriation of the Rohingya, Vikram Doraiswamy said: “Development assistance is essential to ensure an enabling environment for displaced people from Rakhine to return to their homes in Bangladesh.” That’s what we’re doing. Not only us, others are doing the same. Japan is doing it, ASEAN member countries are doing the same. Our goal is to create an environment that eliminates conflict between local communities. We understand that this is a complex social problem in Myanmar. On the one hand, we want to help improve the environment there. On the other hand, we support the repatriation process between Bangladesh and Myanmar with the help of the United Nations. Although we have no role in this process. We want the goal of fast, safe and sustainable repatriation to be met. We want the repatriation to be sustainable so that they do not return to Bangladesh.
