Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said it was unimaginable for a storm to break out in the health sector. In fact, he had no previous experience with infectious diseases, including viruses. But following the guidelines of the World Health Organization, we continue to take some steps immediately on the part of our own thinking about health care.

“We close all educational institutions, including schools and universities,” he said. We limit everyone’s travel. We close the airport, the seaport. We impose several restrictions in all places where there is a possibility of coronary heart disease.

The prime minister said this while addressing a session of Parliament chaired by President Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Prime Minister said: “Today we are holding a brief session on the situation of the Crown around the world.” It was supposed to be a special session. The coronavirus has spread worldwide. This epidemic has led to captive people.

He said: “We have taken various measures as soon as we have the opportunity to come to Bangladesh.” The Department of Health and IEDCR are working adequately to address the crown in Bangladesh. Corona is being officially treated. Crown samples are now being tested across the country.

Sheikh Hasina said the government aims to prevent food shortages in the country due to the coronavirus. Currently, 5 million people receive ration cards. Another 5 million people have been instructed to obtain ration cards. If implemented, a crore person will receive food aid. And if the number of families of these crore people is five, then five crore people will receive food aid.

The seventh session of the National Assembly began to “protect the rules” of the constitution amid stagnation across the country from the new coronavirus epidemic.

In addition to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, members of the government and opposition parties were also present at the session. All members, including the Prime Minister who participated in the session, wore masks. Surgical hats have also been seen on the heads of many.

A relatively small number of members attended the session as part of an earlier plan to maintain a minimum distance from each other to avoid the risk of coronavirus infection.

Previously, it was decided that the minimum requirement to complete the quorum was 60 people or a few more members would be present at the Parliament session. The distance between the seats of legislators in the parliament room has also been noted. For this reason, the attendance of high-ranking MPs and MPs residing outside of Dhaka was discouraged.

Officials at the Parliament Secretariat also said that the body temperature of the people concerned, including the Member of Parliament, was verified upon entering Parliament.

At the beginning of the session, the speaker’s new coronavirus highlighted the situation. He wept for the victims of the coronavirus.

Even in this situation, the speaker explained the reason for convening the session. He also said that the session has been convened following all possible hygiene rules.

Immediately after this, the President wished a happy new year and began the formal proceedings of the Parliament session.

He later nominated a member of the presidium. The members of the presidium in this session are ASM Firoz, Abul Kalam Azad, AB Tajul Islam and Meher Afroz Chumki. Speaker: In the absence of the vice president, the main one will preside over the session.

Then, the Minister of State for Public Administration, Farhad Hossain, presented the annual report of the Public Service Commission. Later, the President raised a motion of mourning in Parliament.
