The Dhaka University Parliament Student Union has issued a statement stating that they do not want to see BCL President Sanjit on the Dhaka University campus, thus giving legitimacy to the violation.
The comments were made in a joint statement by the chairman of the Dhaka Sangsad University of the Chhatra League of Bangladesh, Sakhawat Fahad, and Secretary General Ragib Naeem, in protest of the ‘controversial’ comments made by the chairman of the branch of the Dhaka University of the Bangladesh Chhatra League, Sanjit Chandra Das, on September 28.
In a statement, the leaders of the student union DU Sangsad said that in his speech in front of the anti-terrorist sculpture Raju yesterday, the president of the Chhatra League of the DU branch, Sanjit Chandra Das, said: “I will resist if any woman is tortured , except against independence. “
He gave such a statement. We believe this statement is an attempt to legitimize the ongoing rape and torture of women by BCL activists. Faced with this assertion, the way to repress political opinion is to give organizational authorization to sexual harassment.
Following this statement, its leaders and activists will not hesitate to label the victim of any rape incident as ‘anti-independence’. After 49 years of independence, Sanjit is trying to save the oppressive women of her organization by seeking ‘anti-independence’ among tortured women.
The leaders said that the Chhatra League has completely become a factory for manufacturing rapists and oppressors. There is injustice, so its responsible leaders go up and down to give it legitimacy. It was later published as a reflection of the organization’s thinking.
People have not forgotten the BCL leader Manik, who raped more than 100 students at Jahangirnagar University. The nation has not forgotten the mass rape of a mother in front of a child in Subarnachar. The latest gang rape incident also took place inside the dormitory at Sylhet MC College.
Perverted sexual desires with the ultimate abuse of power have made them iconic vampires for any common citizen. Sanjit is the leader today to save these oppressive women without any consent. We are not at all surprised that such a BCL president tries to legitimize the oppression of women.
The student union leaders further said that the student union had the largest number of fighters on the battlefield as a single student organization in the liberation war. It was a people’s war in which people from all walks of life participated. Sanjit has used this bloody freedom to legitimize the misdeeds of his organization and has tarnished the history and ideology of the liberation war.
It has tarnished the sculpture on behalf of Raju, who was martyred while trying to counter the terror of the Chhatra League-Chhatra Dal on campus. Their presence tarnishes the image of Dhaka University. Dhaka University students no longer want to see Sanjit Chandra Das on campus.
