Kushtia: The madrasa superintendent has been charged with raping an eighth grade student resident in Mirpur, Kushtia.
The victim’s father filed a complaint against the super madrasa at the Mirpur police station on Monday (October 5) afternoon.
Defendant Abdul Quader (42) has been on the run since the incident was reported.
Defendant Abdul Quader is the son of Sirajul Ulum Maryam Nesa Madrasa Super (director) of the Swarupadaha Chawkpara area of the Poradaha union of Mirpur upazila and the son of the late Sirajul Islam of that area.
The locals claimed that Abdul Quader, the director of the Sirajul Ulum Maryam Nesa Madrasa in the Swarupadaha Chawkpara area of the Poradaha Union of Mirpur Upazila, had been brutally torturing an eighth-grade student for some time.
On Monday (October 5), the student reported the matter to one of her classmates. Later the news spread through the area. Later, angry mobs attacked and destroyed the madrassa.
According to the statement made by the student’s father, on the afternoon of Sunday, October 4, the tutor of a student from the madrasa went to feed his daughter and saw the teacher and the student in an offensive state in the office. After informing the victim’s family of the matter on Monday morning, the student’s mother arrived at the madrasa and received details of her daughter. The accused professor Abdul Quader said he was afraid not to tell anyone about the incident.
Furthermore, he mentioned in the statement that the superintendent of the madrassa, Abdul Quader, forcibly raped my daughter against her will (October 4) at 5 am and 8 pm on the same day.
According to the police, the victim was a resident of the madrasa. He used to stay in that madrasa six days a week. Every Friday morning his father took him home and again on Saturday morning. Last Saturday morning, the girl’s father took her to the madrasa. Later on Sunday morning, during the Fajr prayers, the madrasa superintendent, Maulana Abdul Quader, called the girl into his office and raped her. He called the girl into her room around 8 pm and raped her a second time. Super threatens the girl so that she does not tell anyone. Even then, the girl informed one of her classmates about the matter on Monday morning. And when the colleague informed his father about the incident, he made himself known in the area.
The Officer-in-Charge (CO) of Mirpur Police Station Abul Kalam said the girl was taken to the Kushtia General Hospital for a medical check-up and samples were collected there. All the activities to determine your age and the health screening will be completed on Tuesday. A case has been registered in this regard. The defendant has been on the run since the incident and a police operation is underway to arrest him.
