Extensive security measures have been taken in the Baitul Mukarram area of the capital to prevent adverse incidents centered on the pre-announced Hefazat-e-Islam protest program.

The most violent incidents took place in Brahmanbaria and Hathazari. There are reports that Hefazat workers vandalized and set fire to these areas.
However, Hefazat-e-Islam has stated that today’s program will be peaceful. Meanwhile, it has been instructed that there will be no procession on the way to or from any concentration. Amir Allama Junaid Babungari from Hefazat has ordered the organization to hold a peaceful protest.
Hefazat-e-Islam’s Facebook page provided information about the protest on social media on Thursday night. There were instructions to carry out the program in a peaceful manner, as well as two more decisions.
