Two defendants have confessed that university student Al Mahmud alias Arman Hossain alias Anna was killed by hitmen in Kahalu upazila de Bogra.
The detained defendants are Kahaloor Domargram Purbapara Md. Obaidur Khan (40) and a resident of Sahalapara village in Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat and guardian of the Hillary Chicken Farm and Md. Sujan Pond (22).
According to the police, the arrested defendants have confessed in court that the incident occurred due to extramarital affairs.
Bogra district police said in a press release that the body of university student Al Mahmud aka Arman Hossain aka Anna was found buried in the ground near the Domargram Khan Pond cemetery in Kahalur Muril Union on September 8 at 8:15 a.m. A.M. The police raided and arrested the two.
After the police questioning. Sujan said, the defendant Al Mahmud aka Arman Hossain aka Anna was murdered due to an extramarital affair with his wife. Obaidur Khan planned to kill Anna. As part of the plan, the defendant said contract of 40 lakhs. Sujan called Anna at her home on September 6. After making Anna drink drugs, he lay down in Obaidur’s barn and then strangled her to death. Later, Anna’s body was buried in the ground next to the Khan Pukurpar cemetery.
According to the press release, the defendant Sujan has given a confessional statement in court and the other defendant Md. The police are questioning Obaidur Khan in remand for three days.
