Faisal Mia, a fourth-year graduate (with honors) from Vrindavan Government College, was allegedly tortured by tying him to a pole, claiming to be a ‘thief’ in Habiganj. However, police say the girl’s relatives did this because of their love affair with the girl. Police rescued the seriously injured boy and handed him over to his family.
People in the house where Faisal was beaten claim that the boy came to their house with a gun and called out a girl’s name. When he tried to enter their home, they arrested him and handed him over to the police.
Faisal is currently in treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. The video of him being tortured is now viral on social media Facebook.
According to the police and local sources, Faisal’s home is in the Chunarughat upazila district. He fell in love with a young woman from Bahubal upazila. On Saturday night, the young woman called Faisal on his mobile phone and took him home. Then his relatives called him a ‘thief’, tied him to a post and tortured him.
The video, which went viral on Facebook, shows Faisal being brutally beaten. Right now he’s begging for survival.
Faisal’s family claims that there was a premeditated murder attempt on Faisal.
