College students will receive free Teletalk Internet access beginning Thursday (September 10) to participate in online learning activities in coronavirus situations. The government mobile phone company has also reported how to obtain this facility. Meanwhile, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Mustafa Jabbar, praised Teletalk’s initiative on Wednesday (9 September).
Students will be able to take free classes online using the zoom app through UGC’s Bdiren platform and interested teachers will give the link of the free Bdiren zoom class to students. This feature is available on all Teletalk SIMs. For this the student must have a minimum balance of data.
However, the data cannot be uploaded if the bidiren is connected to the platform. However, students will get this facility by recharging Rs 100 per month. The reloaded money will be credited to the main account. That money can be spent on voice and data calls. Unused money will be added to the next recharge. However, if you top up below 100 rupees and you don’t have the minimum data, you won’t be able to enjoy the benefits.
Earlier on September 2, the UGC said in a press release that Teletalk would provide Internet bandwidth at a nominal price to support the online education activities of the country’s public and private universities. All university students who use bdiren administered by UGC will get the benefit.
