Srimangal has recorded the lowest temperature in the country. The temperature recorded in Srimangal on Wednesday morning was 7.4 degrees Celsius. On December 20 and 29, the temperature dropped to 6.3 degrees, according to the meteorological office.

Anisur Rahman, a meteorological assistant at the Srimangal Meteorological Observatory, said the minimum temperature in Srimangal was recorded at 7.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Last Tuesday, the temperature was 6.3 degrees Celsius. This is the lowest temperature in Srimangal this winter. With that, a slight cold snap has started through the upazila. Winter has also increased due to this mild cold snap. He said that winter will increase in a few days.
Meanwhile, with the onset of winter in Srimangal, the suffering of low-income people has increased. The city and surrounding areas were shrouded in dense fog until 10 am Wednesday in freezing cold. Crowds of people have been seen at the city’s old outerwear market to ease the cold.
Srimangal Upazila Health Complex said. Saima Akhter told Jugantar that the number of elderly and pediatric patients suffering from various cold-related viruses is increasing.
