Narendra Modi has become the BJP’s Prime Minister of India. Sravanti Chatterjee, another Kolkata glamor star and Mamata acquaintance, joined the BJP.
The Tollywood actress collected the party flag from a five-star hotel in the city on Monday afternoon (March 1) in the presence of West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh and central leader Kailash Vijayavargi.
At one point, Sravanti was known to be close to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He has been seen on various party and government programs. So why did you drop the bases? In this sense, Sravanti said, I believe that the BJP can bring real change in West Bengal. So I joined the BJP under the inspiration of Modiji.
Sravanti further said that he wants to do something for the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His father always taught him to do something for the country. From that upbringing he wants to do something for the people of West Bengal this time, Sravanti said.
It is also known that Sravanti may be a candidate in the Ekushey assembly elections. However, Sravanti has left the matter to the party. According to him, the party will make the final decision in this regard.
In the past few days, a ton of big screen stars have joined the BJP. Among them are Rudranil Ghosh, Hiran Chatterjee, Yash Dasgupta, Payal Sarkar, Papia Adhikari. Then Sravanti Chatterjee also joined BJP.
BJP Central Leader and State Observer Kailash Vijayavargiya said: “We will soon see what other stars are waiting to join the BJP.”
