In Ajmiriganj of Habiganj, the wife cut off her husband’s special limb on suspicion of being involved in adultery. The incident took place in the Shibpasha village of upazila on Thursday morning.

According to locals, Jabel Mia, son of Ritu Mia from Shivpasha village, married Shapla Begum, daughter of Lichu Mia from Uttar Sangar village of the same upazila about 12 years ago. They have 1 daughter and 2 sons in their family. A few days ago, there was a suspicion in Shapla Begum that her husband was involved in adultery.
Often there were fights between them. They fell asleep after eating Wednesday night. At around 5 a.m. Thursday, while he was sleeping, his wife Shapla Begum cut off her husband Jabel Mia’s penis with a fork.
Upon receiving the news, the inspector in charge of the Shivpasha Police Outpost, Morshed Alam, went to the scene and rescued Jabel Mia in critical condition and sent him to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital. His wife Shapla Begum has been on the run since the incident.
