The Shimultali area of Gazipur City Corporation has been charged with raping a 16-year-old college student. The incident took place on Thursday night. Later that night, the college student filed a case at the Gazipur Sadar Metropolitan Police Station.
Police arrested two youths in the incident. They are Masud Rana, 25, the son of Abul Kalam from the Zainabazar area of Sreepur upazila in Gazipur, and Mohammad, the son of Nurul Islam from the village of Galgonda, under the Kotwali police station of Mymensingh. Ananda (22). They both lived in the Junk area of Gazipur City Corporation.
Citing the case, Sadar police officer Alamgir Bhuiyan said that a young man named Naeem and the university student were studying at a university in Gazipur city. At around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Naeem called the college student and asked her to meet him in the Shimultali Battala area.
Later, the college student headed to Shimultali Battala in an autorickshaw. Naeem and his associates Anand and Masood Rana were already present there. After a while, Anand and Masood Rana left the place. After they left, Naeem drove the college student in an autorickshaw to the area adjacent to the Shimultali school gate as planned.
When he got there, he tried to flee when he became suspicious of the university student. At that moment, Naeem and his accomplices Anand and Masood Rana seized him by force and raped him in turn and fled.
Hearing the screams of the university student, local people rescued her and admitted her to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed University Medical Hospital. The university student is currently in treatment at the hospital.
That same night, he filed a case against the three at the Gazipur Sadar Metropolitan Police Station. After filing the case, the police raided and arrested Anand and Masud Rana. Naeem, the main defendant in the case, has been on the run since the incident.
The police officer further said that the police operation continues to arrest Naeem, the main defendant in the case.
