5,250 meters of visible bridge

Adding span 35 at pillars 6 and 9 at the Mawa end of Munshiganj, the 5250 meter Padma Bridge is visible. This stretch was laid on the middle river today, Saturday (Oct 31). Now that all the piers and spans are ready, it is now possible to add spans as soon as possible, the project manager said. The entire 6.1 km bridge is expected to be completed in December.

Construction of the Padma Bridge began in December 2014. The Padma Bridge was made visible on September 30, 2016 with the installation of the first span on posts 37 and 38. The spans are then placed one by one. In it you can see 5,250 meters part of the bridge.

The main shape of the 6.15 km long multi-purpose bridge will be two-story. The bridge structure is being built with concrete and steel. It is reported that the Padma Bridge will open in 2021 after its completion.

A 6.15 km long Padma bridge is being built by placing 41 150 m long spans on 42 piers. All colleagues are already visible. China Major Bridge Engineering Company (MBEC), a Chinese contractor, is working on the main bridge, and Sino Hydro Corporation, another Chinese company, is working on managing the river.
