Sharsha police arrested a 28-year-old rapist named Abir Hossain accused of raping a domestic worker in Sharsha de Jessore.
The arrested Abir is the son of Haji Enamul, a businessman who owns Mouli Enterprise in Navarna, Sharsha Union.
According to sources from the Sharsha Police Station, the maid worked as a maid in the rapist’s house at the intersection of Navaran-Satkhira in Sharsha Upazila. For the past three months, the owner’s son has been raping her.
When he protested, the lusty Abir began to intimidate him in various ways. Later, when the news reached the maid’s family, her uncle brought her from the house. When the uncle informed the local UP member about the rape, the UP member went to the police station and asked for the cooperation of the police.
The raped maid arrived at Sharsha Police Station on Tuesday and filed a rape complaint. After that, the police arrested the rapist.
The officer in charge of Sharsha (OC) Badrul Alam Khan Police Station said the maid filed a rape case at the police station on Tuesday (October 8) at noon.
The defendant Abir Hossain was arrested at the Navaran-Satkhira junction and taken to the police station at night after discovering the truth of the incident.
A rape case has been recorded at Sharsha Police Station in this incident. The victim’s symptoms will be sent to Jessore 250 Shasya General Hospital on Wednesday morning for examination. She said a statement would be taken in court later.
