RAB officials said that Shakil Islam and Ashikur Rahman, two members of the organization’s military wing, said in preliminary questioning that they had been secretly conducting various activities to motivate others to join the organization. Also, they used to make bombs on behalf of the organization. A bomb-making manual was obtained from them. They were detained at Kalyanpur in the capital while purchasing bomb-making equipment. The other four detainees said they were meeting in secret and that they were making friends by recruiting new members. They used to carry out militant activities by uploading various extremist posts and videos through social media. Shakil is a store clerk by profession. Shakil and Ashikur were arrested in Kalyanpur.
