Six members of the family of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman are in charge of the Juba League, an affiliate of the Bangladesh Awami League. The central committee of the Juba League was formed on November 23 last year through a brilliant ceremony. The president of the Jubo League, Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, son of the founding philosopher Fazle Shams, was elected president of the organization. Sheikh Fazle Fahim and Barrister Sheikh Fazle Naeem are cousins of the president of the Juba League, Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash. Juba League founder Fazlul Haque Moni and former Juba League president Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim are the children of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s older sister, Sheikh Asiya Begum.
Another member of the Bangabandhu family, the member of the presidium of the Juba League Faridpur-4 MP Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury Nixon. Nixon’s older brother, Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury Liton, MP for Chief Whip Madaripur-1 constituency in the XI National Assembly.
The father of MP Nixon and Chief Whip Lytton is the son of former member of the Constituent Assembly and former MP Ilias Ahmed Chowdhury Dadabhai Bangabandhu, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s older sister, Fatema Begum.
Lawyer Taufiqur Rahman, grandson of Bangabandhu’s Sage sister Amena Begum and Shaheed Abdur Rob Serniabat, has become a member of the executive committee of the Awami Juba League of Bangladesh. Barisal-1 MP Abul Hasnat Abdullah is his uncle.
Barrister Taufiqur Rahman is the son of the brother of poet Shamsur Rahman Barrister Tofailur Rahman. He is one of the members of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Awami Bar Association and has been elected Secretary of the Narsingdi District Bar Council. In the last national elections in Narsingdi -5 (Raipur) seat waiting for Manonayana Barrister Taufiqur Rahman.
Attorney Sheikh Fazle Naeem, the youngest son of Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, has been elected deputy general secretary of the Juba League.
