The retired Major Sinha said. Four police officers charged in the Rashed Khan murder case have been in pre-trial detention for four days in the second phase. They are ASI Liton Mia, Constable Safanur Karim, Kamal Hossain and Abdullah Al Mamun.

The RAB pulled them out of the district jail for questioning around 11 a.m. Sunday.

Senior RAB ASP Khairul Islam, who is investigating the case, said the second round of the request for pre-trial detention was held on August 24 to further question the police officers. The court granted a preventive detention of four days. In that sense, they have been forwarded.

Previously, three other members of the police, OC Pradeep, Inspector Liaquat and ASI Nandadulal, were sent to pretrial detention for questioning. Among them, Pradeep was held in pre-trial detention for 15 days in four phases and Liaquat and Nandadulal Rakshit for 14 days in three phases. Although Liaquat and Nandadulal made confessional statements under section 164, Pradeep disagreed. Now they are all in jail. So far, eight people, including three members of the APBN, have made confessional statements.

Meanwhile, retired major Sinha. Chittagong Division Additional Division Commissioner (Development) Mohammad Mizanur Rahman has said that a committee formed by the Interior Ministry to investigate Rashed Khan’s murder will submit a report to the ministry before September 6.
