Dhaka: Health Minister Zahid Malek inaugurated the nationwide vaccination program on Sunday (February 8) at 10am. After that, the vaccination program began across the country.

A total of 2,912 people have been vaccinated in the Rangpur division. Of these, 2,026 are men and 634 are women. A total of 3,233 people have been vaccinated in the Khulna division. Of these, 2,463 are men and 60 are women.

A total of 1,412 people have been vaccinated in the Barisal division. Of these, 1,123 are men and 269 are women. A total of 2,398 people have been vaccinated in Sylhet Division. Of these, 1,748 are men and 641 are women.

According to the Sanitary Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Department of Health, the vaccination program began on January 26 in the country. 27 people were vaccinated on the first day.

A total of 541 people have been vaccinated in five hospitals in the capital on January 26, the second day of the corona virus vaccination campaign.

Earlier in a press conference on Saturday (February 6) afternoon to report on preparations for the vaccine, Professor Khurshid Alam said that a total of 1,005 hospitals across the country, including 50 hospitals in the capital, Dhaka, and 955 hospitals across the country, will be vaccinated.

He said 204 teams will work in 50 hospitals in the capital Dhaka. 2,196 teams will work in 955 hospitals across the country. A total of 2,400 teams will work in 1,005 hospitals.

In addition, 6,344 teams are ready for vaccination activities. However, the program has started with 2,400 people so far.
