Raihan assassination: IF Akbar is on remand for 7 days

Sylhet: A court has granted a seven-day pre-trial detention to Akbar Hossain Bhuiyan, a former head of the Bandarbazar outpost in Sylhet, accused of the murder of Raihan Uddin, who was tortured to death at a police post.

The head judge of the Sylhet Metropolitan Court, Abul Kashem, granted pretrial detention around 2 pm on Tuesday (November 11).

Earlier, Inspector Awlad Hossain, an investigative officer from the Police Investigation Office (PBI), presented him in court under police surveillance at 1:20 p.m.

Confirming the matter, Awlad Hossain said that if he requested a seven-day pre-trial detention, the court would grant him a seven-day pre-trial detention.

Earlier on Monday (November 10), the police arrested Akbar in collaboration with Khasia from the Dona border area of ​​Kanaighat. Subsequently, the district police handed over Akbar to the PBI at around 8 pm.
