The actor’s Rupoli tour began in 1959. The name of the film is Apur Sansar, which was directed by Satyajit Ray, a world-renowned film director. That pair started that path. Soumitra Chatterjee has acted in 14 of the 34 films directed by Ray, which is a rare achievement.
