Shirley Hebdo, a French magazine, has republished a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The trial for the 2015 firearms attack in the magazine’s office is scheduled to begin this week. The BBC has reported that these have been published with this in mind.

The magazine’s office was attacked on January 6, 2015 for publishing these types of cartoons. Twelve people, including the magazine’s editor and three cartoonists, died. And two attackers died. A few days later, another attack in Paris killed five people. It is alleged that the ambassador provided the information to Hussein.

Fourteen people are facing trial in connection with the attack on Shirley Hebdo’s office. The trial will be held in the absence of three of them. The trial of the case began in March, but was halted due to the Corona epidemic.

The magazine editorial said that since the 2015 assassination, other cartoons of the Prophet (PBUH) have been repeatedly requested to be published.
